Volvo made a car targeted at Millennials. But because they subscribe to basically everything, Millennials no longer buy the things they used to. For a generation that lives on subscriptions, Volvo had to find a way to sell a car to a driver that doesn't buy. We made the XC40 the first car you can subscribe to with an app.
The app and campaign earned Gold, Silver, and Bronze Lions at Cannes, and “sold” so many XC40s Volvo literally ran out.
